GCEL Attends ASEAN Summit

Kim Ji-young, chairman of the Global Culture & Economy Link, attended the 2022 ASEAN summit 

in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from November 9 to November 13, 2022.

Chairman Kim Ji-young serves as vice chairman of the Africa Korea Economic Development Association (hereinafter referred to as AKEDA).

The meeting was chaired by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, the host country, 

and U.S. President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang also attended.

President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea also attended 

and announced the Indo-Pacific strategy of freedom, peace, and prosperity and the Korea-ASEAN Solidarity Initiative.

Prime Minister Hun Sen announced the promotion of agriculture, construction, energy and automobiles. 

It also requested close exchanges between ASEAN countries on cultural projects.

Following the Business and Investment Forum, the ASEAN Summit is the best annual forum in Southeast Asia, 

and is held regularly to solve major problems facing the Asian region.
